Hey guys, did y'all know the United States actually grew a lot as a nation during the time of the 1600s through the Civil War? It sounds surprising considering how many problems we faced during that time. During this period of time the main issue was slavery(which was really not okay). This caused a lot of conflict between the colonies due to people having very strong opinions on both sides, but it was handled by many compromises over the years(it took way too long to get rid of slavery if I'm being honest). Through all of this conflict the US was still gaining more territories such as Louisiana and Gadsden. The United States found ways to stay united within theses major disagreements but eventually the Civil War was started to end slavery.
