Practicing Incorporating a Quotation

Glory was a very inspiring and deep film. As Kevin Levin says on the website Civl War Memory, the movie provides "emphasis on a progressive story where the individual characters as well as the unit itself becomes more closely connected or identified with the national goal of emancipation and nationalism." I agree with this statement because the movie shows the unity of people from all different backgrounds. A white man leads freed slaves, runaway slaves, and blacks who were born free in this regiment. This shows diversity working together to accomplish a common goal. The common goal of all of these people was to end slavery and discrimination of black people. Glory does a great job of showing the different types of people that worked together to accomplish the goals of the Civil War.
